Info:
Track 1-3 were recorded in April 2003.
Track 4 was recorded during Summer 2005.
New cover art was created in 2020.
"Ermitus" was recorded back in 2003 (a bonus track was added in 2005) and was originally released as a split tape and CD that sold out a long time ago. It was the link between the early demo period of Marblebog and my first album "Csendhajnal". This has always been one of my favorite and most personal Marblebog recordings, but never quite liked how it was presented, so here it is with a new cover art as a standalone release. - /Gábor Varga, Jan 2020/
Marblebog was born as the solo project of Hungarian musician Gábor Varga in 1998. During the early 2000s, Marblebog released two demo tapes focusing on atmospheric black metal, followed by three full-length albums – “Csendhajnal”, “Forestheart” and “Wind of Moors” (the last one being an instrumental ambient release recorded with only synthesizers) – and a large number of splits with bands from around the globe. The band’s only live show, on June 5th 2009 at Matchitehew Assembly in Chicago, marked the end of the first era of the project, Marblebog was laid to rest in 2010.
In 2018, Marblebog has risen from the ashes and recorded its fourth album “Kietlen”.
