Reverb heavy guitars wash through lovely droning sections only to break into furious, swirling blasts.

This is topped off by an excellent, diverse vocal performance that deftly shifts between tortured screams and spiritual styled chants.

Another excellent offering from a Pile of Graves. Peach, Love, and Black Metal.

Dave Aftandilian Innovative, bleak, and introspective atmospheric black metal. In desolation I wander this ruined world that the gods have long since abandoned. My soul screams to the heavens for an answer, a reason, but there is only silence. Yet raven-haired Nyx answers my prayers in the blackness; takes my hand and leads me on an endless road.

Fortress Of The Olden Days is the brainchild of Bavaria-based musician Stulpert (Zalmoxis, Qualm, Ås…).
Portraying feelings of nostalgia and the longing for times long gone in an increasingly fast, modernized world by means of Raw and Atmospheric Black metal is the driving force behind Stulpert’s endeavors as Fortress Of The Olden Days.
„Verlassenheit“ is the second full length-album after 2018’s „Night Of Sacrifice“ - once again, it contains hymns of archaic, unworldly Black Metal.

„Verlassenheit“ was recorded between May and August 2019 by Stulpert.
